Among our sweetest childhood memories are the days on which we got to eat cake. Perhaps it was a simple custard tart from the local market (not quite a cake, we know, but close enough), or a luscious gateau, coated in soft, sweet, velvety plumes of rich, creamy icing beneath which the springy, crumbly sponge announced the day to be a special one, even if nothing in particular was happening.
One of the great advantages of being grown up is that we can choose to eat cake on any day we like, and at Khéma we have a cake or pastry for every day of the month, not that we would actually recommend eating a cake a day for a month, even when they’re this good (we’re not monsters).
But we do have something for every taste here at Khéma. Whether you’re a raging chocaholic — hello Chocolate Mousse Dome and Chocolate Trilogy, inter more than a few alia — a sucker for strawberries — you’ll swoon over our Vanilla Strawberry Heart — a hardcore fan of fruit — we don’t mind if you take your time choosing between our Blueberry Cheesecake, Apple Tart, Saveur d’Asie or Senteur Boisée d’Asie, which is bursting with pandan and coconut flavours. We’re there all day long.
Or perhaps you prefer something a little simpler, in which case we’d like to introduce you to the Flan Parisien, a beguiling addictive combination of soft, subtle and silky custard held in a crisp pastry case. There are people who do not consider their mornings complete without one. Wise people, with many friends, we believe.
